I've had this yellow pillowcase forever, but it was boring. I recently purchased some iron on patterns from Sublime Stitching, and I'm a sucker for Kurt Halsey.
I started out the project with no idea of what I was going to do. I just wanted to embroider something and I wanted a nice pillowcase.
I did the red swirls on the side first (they're from another set from Sublime Stitching), then the bird, and finally, the text. I would have rather used different text, as it's very hokey, but the style fits.
